The Athena Institute held its annual general meeting by webinar on May 27, to report highlights from 2015 and give a glimpse of what’s ahead. We also had an outstanding presentation by Dirk Kestner, a structural engineer at Walter P Moore and a long-time user of the Athena Impact Estimator for Buildings. Dirk’s presentation, titled “LCA in design practice through a LEED v4 beta case study,” very clearly explains the value of LCA in sustainable design and how he’s using LCA to pursue the new LCA credit in LEED.
