EcoCalculator Advisory Council

The Athena EcoCalculator Advisory Council has been established to provide advice and broad-based input from the building community on further development and continuous improvement of the ATHENA® EcoCalculator for life cycle assessment of building assemblies. Membership on the Council consists of representation from several broad-based, umbrella organizations representing the EcoCalculator user community in Canada and the US.

The Council provides advisory input for such items as:

Screening of new assemblies
User interface
Structure and guidance information
Environmental impact measures
Dissemination of information to user communities
Education and outreach to expand the user base
Research on data and regional versions
Effectiveness of the tools in meeting the needs of users
Sharing of user concerns and ideas for improvement
