Announcing v5.5 of the Athena Impact Estimator for Buildings

The Athena Institute is pleased to announce a big update of our popular Impact Estimator for Buildings simplified whole-building LCA software tool.

What’s new:

  • Dozens of updates to our environmental data including electricity grids, steel, wood, concrete, cement, drywall, metal building systems, roofing membranes, and insulations.
  • Biogenic carbon has been moved out of module D and into the correct modules per ISO 21930.
  • Two new GWP results are provided in addition to total GWP (GWP biogenic carbon and GWP calcination) per ISO 21930.
