EPD tool and service for construction aggregates
Meet the increasing market demand for environmental product declarations (EPDs) with a service specifically created for Canadian producers of construction aggregates.
Get our free calculation tool and generate self-declared documentation for customers plus preview your EPD results. Our tool has been third-party verified for compliance with the most recent NSF product category rules (PCR) for aggregates. This means you can have high confidence in your results, and should you proceed to an EPD, your process will be expediated and cost reduced.
How it works:
- Sign our license agreement and we’ll send you a spreadsheet tool at no cost to you.
- In the tool, you will complete a survey with annual information on production inputs and outputs.
- Our tool links this information to background life cycle assessment (LCA) data and calculations to generate results. The output is a self-declared environmental declaration (although the tool is pre-verified, a self-declaration is not itself verified and is not an EPD).
- For a fee, we can help you do more with your data. We will benchmark the results against industry average and provide a “branded” EPD.
Costs:
- Survey access and self-declaration: FREE.
- Verified EPD and LCA background report: CA$6,500 for the first quarry; $3,500 for each additional quarry (price will reduce for more than five sites).
- There will be additional fees to an EPD program operator for 3rd-party verification.
