Athena concrete EPD on-demand tool transferred to WAP Sustainability

The Athena Institute and WAP Sustainability are pleased to announce an agreement to move the Athena Concrete EPD Calculator to WAP Sustainability to better enable growth and servicing of this important tool.

The Athena Institute is proud to have incubated this “EPD on-demand” software tool and service that has quickly gained popularity with US and Canadian ready mix and precast concrete clients. The software allows clients to assess the carbon footprint of custom mixes and generate product-specific EPDs through a user-friendly online interface.

With manufacturers increasingly being asked for EPDs by their customers, the Concrete EPD Calculator needs to grow faster than it can at the Athena Institute. WAP Sustainability has demonstrated a unique ability to meet the rapidly increasing demand for EPDs. Moving the tool to WAP Sustainability will ensure that concrete producers are able to meet market needs and their own sustainability objectives.
